Hi there,
I finally got around to installing Mavericks today after my Lion installation screwed up and have got everything working except WiFi.
My specs are as follows:
10.9.2
Gigabyte P67A-UD3P-B3 (Bios F7)
i5 2500k
8GB RAM
Sapphire 6870 1GB GDDR5
Atheros AR5BXB6 (eBay from an old MBP)
On 10.7.2 the WiFi worked OOB with no issues. Mavericks can't see it with the default IO80211Family.kext and there is nothing listed under WiFi or PCI in system profiler. I replaced the kext with the original from Lion and was able to connect to unsecured networks but not my home WiFI (WPA) which just came up with 'connection failed'.
I patched my DSDT when I first ran multibeast which didn't help.
Can anyone help me sort this out, or do I need to look at a new WiFi card?
Thanks,
Dan
