Hey guys,

Im parting my computer together paycheck to paycheck. Im about a month away from having all the components to my build done.

Im no expert, but I have built 2 hackintoshes before, and I am insanely persistent and have no other option other than to get this x99 running cause I've thrown too much money and time into the project as is.

if no one else does this sooner I will make a video series for my build (as IMHO video tutorials are the most information packed and easiest to follow)

I will do my best to document for my particular build which is as follows

Motherboard: Rampage V
Processor: 5930k
Graphics Card: (x2) Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1
RAM: Kingston HyperX Predator 64GB (8X8GB) 3000MHz

Cheers! An I hope someone else steps up before me to help make my build and video series easier!

meanwhile... :beachball:

Purchased my RAM from Kingston Direct today, very competitive pricing as compared to Cruxial and Ripjaw and from the DDR4 reviews I'm seeing it overclocks well and benchmarks competitively. In case you hadn't thought of it as an option I'm pretty excited I stumbled on it.

Cons: apparently it's really tall so you have to check to make sure it works with your cooling

GPU x2 and Harddrive left....

Hi Cicciodux, I'm from italy too. I'm stuck on pci configuration begin and I'm able to boot ONLY if I use nv_disable=1, even after the installation of the official web driver. I tried different flags, even debug=0x14e, but no luck. Have you performed anything else or just replaced "nv_disable" with "nvda_drv"? Thank You

Sadly I've this motherboard too but nothing to do...

I will forget the idea it just impossible to install it...

Installer won't launch I'm stuck on the logo when I boot on usb key and with the command I'm stuck on a black screen :'(

All procedure on entire Internet don't help me and I seem to be the only one that I stuck at this step

Asus rampage v extreme - advice

Thanks a lot for the tips.
At last Yosemite is running at my RVE x99.

My System:
Asus Rampage V Extreme
Intel i7 5930K at 3.5Ghz
Corsair Vengeance 2666Mhz 4x4GB
2x Galax GTX 970 EXOC (SLI). Using DVI port

Yosemite ver: 10.10.4
OS installation was not a difficult task, only faced difficult in GPU configuration.
First I install the Multibeast. Select all the options mentioned by this guide.

Then for the GPU, at first I installed the nVidia web drivers: WebDriver-346.02.02f03.
But once I restarted the mac with the nvda_drv=1 flag. I start receiving NO SIGNAL error. Tried all ports (HDMI, Display port, DVI). but nothing helped. I was only able to load the OS with the nv_disable=1 flag.

Then I decided to try the earlier versions of the nVidia web drivers (released for the 10.10.4).
When I installed this version WebDriver-346.01.03b01.
After installation when I restarted the system with the nvda_drv=1 flag. I got the screen with the full resolution enabled, But when I logged in, system hanged.
So I decided to retry from scratch,
Formatted the HD,
Re-installed the Yosemite.
Run the Multi-beast with all the options descried in the quoted guide.
install the nvidia web drivers : WebDriver-346.01.03b01.pkg
Restarted with the flag nvda_drv=1. (along with the other flags mentioned in the guide)
And it was working. Voila. :)
BTW! before the installation of the accurate web drivers, I faced this issues: Unable to login into the system, the progress indicator spinned indefinitely. But once the web drivers were installed, this issue was fixed automatically.

My following devices are still not working:
Bluetooth.
Sound.

But I think both can be fixed.

Sorry for my bad English.
