Hello, on my fresh hackintosh 10.8 install, AppStore ofcourse doesn't work. So, i've created device hex string with EFIStudio1-1 (Ethernet), added it to chameleon (with chameleon wizard), but, when i have device properties in org.chameleon.Boot.plist i have black screen when login screen should be displayed. I tried boot with diffrent flags like hundred times, but it didn't work. When i deleted device properties, everything works, besides AppStore.. Please help.

If you've got two NICs, try deleting /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist and reboot. I was having the same problem intermittently (it would happen every cold boot, and go away after a reboot), and doing that seems to have fixed it.

Didnt work for me!!
The system fail when try to jump console to login window.

for those who could not get it to work try booting with PCIUD=1 or =0, can work for some users, it has something to do with the loading motherboard info to OS X i think, worked for me back in the day, haven't had that problem since first lion update though.

Please excuse my ignorance and questions, but I am a complete newbie and I am still trying to get my first build to work.

When I go to ~Library/Preferences there is no SystemConfiguration folder, but there are to .plist files: com.apple.systempreferences.plist and com.apple.systempreferences.plist.ahLZvmu

Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?

"Library in "root" is hidden by default. You're in the wrong "Library".

Click on "Go" in the menu bar at the top and select "Library" You must hold down option before clicking "Go" though because like I said, it's hidden. This will unhide it and you will be able to find it.

Yes, I had clicked and held option -- but there is no folder named SystemPreferences at ~Library/Preferences. In fact, I looked on my Late-2008 MacBook Pro, and I don't have one there either.

Go>(holding Option)>Library>Preferences>no folder

Any idea why both my computers would be missing this folder, or how I can search the library for such a folder?

Thank you!
