Yea that's the hardware that I still currently have...maybe Lion would be my best bet...I didn't try that kext yet. I figured that if Lion will use my hardware properly, maybe I'll be able to use the 64 bit kext?!

Your goal is just to eventually download/install Yosemite, no?

Try the NullEthernet.kext I just built. It should work... if not, then pursue Lion (it'll cost you $20, but that's no biggie).
