Hmm this is concerning. Have others reported flickering issues with the 5770 setup? Did you notice flickering when in 32bit mode as well?

Ah ok. Is it correct that in 32-bit mode you're still able to address > 4GB of memory? It's just that the kernel and kexts are all 32-bit...doesn't affect max OS X memory utilization?

IDK if this helps, but I'm using the Experimental ATI Chameleon boot file, with 64-bit (XFX 5770), and with nothing else other than few kexts (FakeSMC, HDA, and 3 SATA Kexts) it works fine. Have you tried the modified boot file?

no flickering, runs everything fine.

Thanks, yes I've also been able to get it working, similar to how you describe. I'm also using a 5770 (Sapphire).

Yeah that's the card I have and it's working beautifully.
