ALC888s query.

Hi , my query is that the sound will work on mac os x lion 10.7.3 with the ALC888 driver that installs Multibeast. My soundcard is ALC888s, not ALC888

Check your IOReg to confirm definitely 888s unless it's stated on your mobo manufacturer website? Either way, look at my guide for what to search in IOReg

I think that the ALC888s driver will work perfectly. According to the website of Realtek Windows driver works with: ALC882, ALC883, ALC885, ALC888, ALC889, ALC861VD, ALC660, ALC662, ALC663, ALC665, ALC260, ALC262, ALC267, ALC268, ALC269, ALC270, ALC272, ALC273, ALC887, ALC670, ALC275.

The ALC888S model is not on the list, but in my windows 7 I have this driver and works perfect. Also I found a kext. A dude, what is ioregand where is your guide? Thanks

Go here and download the application, DSDTse http://www.osx86.net/view/459-dsdt_simple_editor_dsdtse_v1.4.3.html

When you open it there will be a button saying get registry info, click that. Your registry will appear, save a copy, put in .zip folder and upload it and I'll have a look

Do that and I'll be able to tell you what you need

Hey, i installed Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 and in the installation progress it spot it and the pc reboots. the, I try to boot from my windows system and don't load. The screen is black with a line that appear and dissappear. help please. Im very nervous. Thanks
