HWMonitor shows:

MULTIPLIERS
CPU Package Multiplier x8.0

Ive not seen it reach higher than x8.0 even on load. Not sure Im reviewing this properly though.

I have now updated my BIOS to match F20
Deleted the hsf+ partition with GParted
Reinstalled using 10.7.4
Ran HP Probok Installer 4, installing:
OS X v 10.7.4
Chimera 1.10.0
Ethernet Kext Installer
Bluetooth
CPU SSDTs > i3 > 2310m
Graphic Glitch Fix
DSDTs for standard screens > 4530s HD 3000 > BIOS rev F20
HWMonitor

All symptoms remain. Lag sometimes minutes between mouse clicks, just a spinning wheel
What do you get with GeekBench?
You should see that multiplier spike to 21 under load.

Your install selections look ok.

Go into Terminal and run "ls -l /Extra"...
And what is in your org.chameleon.Boot.plist?

$ ls -l /Extra

Code:
$ cat /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist

HWMonitor never increased from x8.0 during benchmark. Benchmark was 32-bit with trial if that could explain

I think it might be the system profile. Did you select one in the v4 Installer? My benchmark shows as MacBookPro8,1 whereas your is iMac8,1.

Here's my benchmark: http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/867451
