So I still have no luck getting the audio to work so I am going to try from scratch. There has been so many changes and threads about doing this I am trying to nail down the most up to date way do get it to work.

So if you have these specs and working audio can you point me to the method of how you got it to work. I have a feeling I am doing some thing the old way or something and it is causing conflicts.

I am thinking (hoping) I don't have to make any DSDT edits with this board, and it seems like I don't even need one. Also I am also thinking the new multibeast 4.6.1 has the correct kexts to make it work but I am not sure.

Anyway if someone can point me to what is the current most up to date way to do this it would be appreciated.

Start with a clean 10.7.4 install
MultiBeast 4.6.1/No dsdt
See Easy Guide MultiBeast Realtek ALC8xx Audio For Liont
Use B. EasyBeast Method (No dsdt).
Select the enabler for the ALC898 (in place of the ALC889 in the example)
