Everyone with this device ID that cant get this card fully working please post in here so we can get tony or someone's attention who knows a little more about what they are doing.. I see like 5 or 6 people with the same problem with low FPS. QE/CI is enabled via device id to 50hal.kext and efi string to apple.com.boot.plist but the card is still not recognized by chameleon.

someone with skills plz helpppp

I'm in the same boat. I haven't done the efi string though..just the device id in the kext and enabler in multbeast.

I tried using multibeast to set the system as a mac pro 5 and 4, as oppesed to the standard 3, but it just gave me kp on boot up.

I have my Asus 8400GS woking perfectly with these 3 things:

1) NV Enabler in Multi Beast.

2) I added the last line to the device ID in NVDANV50Hal.kext

<string>
0x00f010de&0xfff0ffff
0x019010de&0xfff0ffff
0x040010de&0xfff0ffff
0x042010de&0xfff0ffff
0x05e010de&0xfff8ffff
0x05f010de&0xfff0ffff
0x060010de&0xffe0ffff
0x062010de&0xffe0ffff
0x064010de&0xffe0ffff
0x06e010de&0xfff0ffff
0x086010de&0xffe0ffff
0x08a010de&0xffe0ffff
0x0a2010de&0xffa0ffff
0x0ca010de&0xffe0ffff
0x10c310de&0xfff0ffff
</string>

3) Here is my "com.apple.Boot.plist" in the "Extra" folder.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">

<key>Timeout</key>
<string>1</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

I was concerned that Cinebench only gave me an Open GL score of 6.2.

So I ran it in Windows 64, and got 5.7. :D

I hope this helps.

So you're only getting 6fps...then that's not really working perfectly
Does sytem profiler id your card by name?

*****
I ran Multibeast and had it add the PCIRootUID=1 flag into com.apple.boot.plist but it doesn't seem to have done anything for good or ill.

Interesting. No, system profiler doesn't recognize the card model. But seeing as my Windows score was actually a bit lower and this Cinbench database showed this card to average around 6fps, I assumed it was working properly.

Any idea what score I should be seeing?

Thanks.

That's a good question...how does the card perform in a straight windows or linux domain...

i installed the cuda drivers before.. they don't really do much..

In 10.6.7 I'm getting a Cinbench Open GL score of 6.2.

In Win 7 64bit I get 5.71.

Everything I've thrown at it works exactly as I'd hoped. But I don't play games.

@singh yeah we get around the same scores.. your card still isn't accelerating all the way as indicated by unknown video card in system profiler. I dont' play too many games either so its ok as long as i have 1650 resolution and qe/ci but it would be nice incase i wanted to install WC3 or diablo3 when that comes out

peace -ty
