[Solved] i7-3770K Freq max at 3.7Ghz Mojave

jk2309, you sir are a legend. Re-flashing the bios fixed my speed step issues. Another telltale sign was that Mojave wasn't reporting my ram speed correctly, and now it is. Thanks!

    An iDiot's Guide To iMessage

This is brilliant, thanks. Worked a charm on the machine in my signature running MacOS Sierra!

Direct Update to macOS Sierra using Clover

This worked for me on the system in my signature - thanks! I had to change from Mac Pro 3,1 to iMac 13,2 to download MacOS Sierra. All seems to be working well, just need to get audio working. That's a job for the weekend!

    What Speakers Do You Use?

Day to day I use the built-in speakers on the 24" cinema display. For music/movies/gaming I use an old Sony HT-K215 mini surround sound system (Dolby 5.1 / DTS), plugged in via optical cable. The front and centre speakers are compact enough to fit (side-ways) under my two cinema displays, the...

    GTX 970 / GTX 980 are here

I installed a Gainward GTX 980 Phantom 4GB during the week, and it's working perfectly. I had two Gigabyte GTX 670 2GB OC cards previously, and was already running the nVidia driver, so it was just a simple swap out for me. I was happy with the 670's except that I had screen glitches in...

    GTX 970 / GTX 980 are here

This may be unrelated to the problem you are having, but based on the screenshot above it looks like you have renamed your OSX partition to "Yosemite" in org.chameleon.boot.plist. In the more recent versions of Chimera, when I've renamed my OSX partition my system ends up in a constant...

UniBeast: Install OS X Yosemite on Any Supported Intel-based PC

Thanks, very much looking forward to this update. Unfortunately my ADSL is currently down (great timing!). Will donate as I always do after a major release/update.

Chimera 3.0.1 rebooting immediately after bootloader

Do you still have your Mavericks install USB created with Unibeast? If so, you can use that to boot into OSX and edit org.chameleon.Boot.plist. If you use the "Rename Partition" key, I recommend removing that along with any associated strings first, then see if that fixes your boot problem.

    Can't Boot

I have the same issue, and have narrowed it down to renaming the OSX partition which is also where the boot loader is installed. I'm able to hide partitions, and rename any partition other than OSX. Anyone have a solution yet?

Chimera 3.0.1 rebooting immediately after bootloader

Did you manage to fix this problem? I've narrowed it down to the "Rename Partition" key in org.chameleon.Boot.plist, and only when renaming more than one partition. I haven't been able to figure out how to resolve the issue, however removing the Rename partition key, or only renaming one...

    [SUCCESS] Out Of The Box: GA-Z77X-UP5-TH - i7 3770K - HD 4000 OSX 10.8.4

[Almost] Out Of The Box: GA-Z77X-UP5-TH - i7 3770K - HD 4000 OSX 10.8.4 Sleep nightmare Nice build Jiojimbo! Regarding autosleep not working, I've also tried Wolfie81's settings and I cannot get it to work. Forced (manual) sleep works, but not auto sleep. I suspect it is my optical drive...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5-TH, i7 3770K, 32GB, 480GB SSD, 2TB HDD, GTX 670

I'm not sure what's causing your kernel panics, but I'd guess that it might be something to do with your thunderbolt display. I have 24" cinema displays which have audio via USB, and that's what is set in system preferences and it works. Note that I can also get audio via optical digital out but...

Thanks Sorry, I can't help you regarding the compatibility of those liquid coolers. However, considering they are Corsair coolers and presumably you're going for the same Corsair case that I have (500r), surely Corsair have a compatibility guide somewhere that you can refer to.

Windows or OSX? One screen or two? Either way, your primary monitor (i.e. the one with the start menu/menu bar+dock) needs to be the one plugged into the 660TI.

Great build sssg_mac, although I'm probably biased... :D You need to set your RAM speed to 1600MHz in BIOS. Under the MIT tab, Advanced frequency settings, set Extreme memory profile to "Profile 1". This should change the RAM frequency from the default 1333MHz to 1600MHz.

Hi Wolfie81. See below from my build post (with some clarifications). Note that there is some question as to whether or not the device properties key/string is required, so see if you can get it working without the device properties. I never could but haven't tried with the more recent versions...
