I had a similar problem with this card even tho the only thing that sleeps is my monitor but this setting seems to have corrected for me... click Wifi, then advanced. Click TCP/IP and change Configure IPv6 to Link-local only

I just got a sandisk extreme 120 GB for 79.00, latest firmware already up to date, no cloning, fresh install everything running great. No drama as described in the OP

for me easiest fix was dsdt auto patcher with fix for internal drives appearing as external. same patch also corrects dvd player with no need for addl kexts, edits, etc
