Hello everyone,
Been a while since I've made a hacktintosh but have had many successes in the past.
Trying to build a new one with a 4670k + Z97X Game Plus motherboard.
Created the Mojave installer with UniBeast but can't seem to boot from it. Always a black screen, blinking cursor.
Bios is...
Bit of an update. Fresh install of 10.8. Updated to 10.8.3 combo update. Installed alc888 legacy from multibeast.
System boots but my USB mouse and USB keyboard don't work but the sound icon is showing up in the top corner like it might be working??
Hi Guys,
Got everything in this little Dell 530s working flawlessly apart from the sound. It's an ALC888 on board.
I tried multibeast alc88 legacy and current patch which installs the dsdt edit and AppleHDA. Still with no joy.
Can anyone help me out? I've included my DSDT
Just thought i'd share my experience with my 4th hackintosh.
Dell Inspiron 530s
Intel Core2Duo Processor E8400

Hi guys,
I have a dell 530s and need this IOATAFamily patched kext for SL and Lion to see my drives to install. Can anyone reupload it?
I tried someone elses IOATAFamily 2.5.1 kext which worked once to install lion, then when I installed 10.7.3 combo it broke :( now matter how many times i...
Hi guys,
I've built a few hackintosh's now but this is the first time i've had this problem.
My 2500k is stuck at x16 multiplier giving 1600mhz. Lion 10.7.5 feels very snappy and nice to use but Geekbench is low at 4500 points. Should be getting near 11/12k
I've never had to fiddle with...
Awesome, thanks dude!!
Just gone from 4500 score to 11,000! It's only reporting my cpu as 3.69ghz, even though it's clocked at 4.4ghz. Anyway I can fix that too?
Hi Guys,
Got my i5 2500k running at 4.40ghz. Stable in Lion 10.7.5 and Windows 7.
Lion is great to use, seems very quick and smooth. The only problem is running geekbench I only get a 4500 score.
I'm using the sandy i5/i7 overclocked ssdt and the mac pro 5,1 smbios.
Also when I run...
Putting the drive in the first sata 0 port has got me a bit further.
Using -v npci=0x2000 gets me almost there, then I arrive at a kernel panic caused by the CPU, looks like applepolicycontrol?
Again, if I first boot from unibeast usb, then choose my drive it works perfectly :(
I've got Mountain Lion 10.8 installed using unibeast on a single hdd, made to be the primary drive with ACHI bios enabled.
Boots up absolutely fine if I use USB Unibeast first and select my install, no flags needed at all.
If I try and boot from my newly installed drive directly I keep...
