I can boot into safe mode just fine and ethernet works. It runs great except I can;t get my sound to work, and every time I try to install the driver via multibeast, it disables the ethernet even in safe mode. I have a gigabyte ga-z97m-d3h board. basically, how do I get my sound driver...
This has happened a few times. If I do a clean install, I can get thernet to work if i boot in safemode. Once I install anyting on multibeast, ethernet ceasses to work and I can only boot in safe mode. Here is the most common scrren i've seen in verbose when booting post multi beast.

How is this going for you? Im contemplating using the z97 for a build myself but am concerned about compatibility. It seems the 8 and 9 series are price similarly, but the 8 has better compatibility:?: and the 9 is more feature-rich. How hard was it to get your build fully functional?
