Hello :)

I see lot of you have an aspire V3 571G so i try to make a complet guide for you.

This Guide is not perfect and only base on my installation experience. You are all welcoming to make it better !

I Installation

Windows 7 users / Windows 8 users

What you need :

- Official Osx Mountain lion

- An HFS+ partition

- A usb drive min 8 go

- Unibeast

- Put your Bios into legacy

1) download HFS+ and create an HFS partition will be use for install Mountain Lion (Windows 7)

1.1) download paragon partition manager (Windows 8)

2) Format you usb key to mac os extended and select mbr option ( A mac is mandatory to achieve this step)

2.1) Than create your bootable usb using unibeast ( A mac is mandatory to achieve this step) if you dont have any mac dont worry, just contact me and i will help you

3) Boot you computer to the usb drive

3.1) if you have a cross on the apple logo try to reinstall ML on your USB key

3.2) If you haven't the cross you can go ! Normally you don't have to formate your HFS partition, you can install ML directly

4) At the end of ML installation reboot on windows

5) for HFS+ user go to your HFS partition then System\ Library\ Extensions and delete the following kext :

AppleHDA.kext
AppleIntelHD*.kext
ATI*.kext
GeForce.kext
GeForce*.kext
NVDAGF100Hal.kext
NVDAGK100Hal.kext
NVDANV50Hal.kext
NVDAResman.kext
NVSMU.kext

For Paragon users boot on the cd then right click on your HFS partition, click browse partition and do the same thing as above

5) download Osx 10.8 boot cd. burn it, and boot on it, then select your OSX partition.

Hello

Actually i've the i5 core model.

used o mod bios is very tricky if you miss something you risk to kill your laptop

For me i just put my bios into legacy mode, than make sure that sata mode is on AHCI and not UEFI

For your graphic card is better to use a kext after install

Thank you so much for doing this guide!
So i have a question did u get the intel hd 4000 working? as my aspire has the 640m and intel hd 4000. I changed to use onboard intel hd 4000, but it never gives me the option to change ram of the graphics to do the methods iv found? do you have a different method to get it working?

Thanks again man.:D

Yes i forgot to update the tuto.

I will put the link for the kext in the driver part

I'm also reading with interest.
I managed to get sound using VoodooHDA 2.8.2
With graphics (at full resolution 1366x768), lan and wireless I didn't succeed until now.
If I find out something I will post it here.

Acer Aspire V3-571G
i5-3210M 2,5GHz
4GB DDR3 Memory
Geforce GT640M
Acer Nplify 802.11a/g/n Wireless

How did you get the graphics working on ur 640m? or intel hd 4000 please mate?

Update:

I didn't succeed with GT640m but:
I got graphics working with HD4000 with 64mb recognized in full resolution 1366x768
Also when I plug in HDMI before booting I get 1920x1080 resolution on an external monitor.
The only thing not working now is two monitors at the same time - i only can use either internal monitor OR external monitor.

That's what my org.chamelon.boot looks like:

<key>HD4000PlatformId</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>

So u didnt get the 640m working ?
