MSI Z370 Radeon HD7950 OS support

I am currently running macOS 10.14.6 Mojave and it has been rock solid for a long time. I am wondering how much higher I can go with my hardware, if any higher at all? Motherboard MSI Z370 (MS-7B46) Graphics Radeon HD7950 3.6GHZ i7-9700k 32GB DDR4 If I can get away with replacing just the...

    Samsung EVO 850 1TB won't boot Mojave

I have been going through a few Mojave installs on my MS Z370 SLI Plus motherboard, and everything works great when installing to a small 60GB SSD disk that I use for testing. When I go through the install process on my Samsung EV0 850 1TB drive, the install is fine, and I run multibeast, just...

    Which SAS controllers are supported?

I would prefer internal and RAID is not necessary. Was just going to boot OSX from one disk and Windows from another and have a 3rd disk for Time Machine backups.

    Which SAS controllers are supported?

I am looking at installing a SAS controller into my Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 motherboard and am wondering which one to go with. I only need 4 drive support and I don't need super high performance. Looking to not spend too much money, but also want one that just works with OSX 10.9.5 and eventually...

    P67A-UD3-B3 (Rev 1.1) Success

I'm not sure if this is the fix for your problem, but I will post my latest findings when going through the same install process using a non SSD hard drive. What took me all of about a half an hour to complete the first time through, took me an entire day of messing around and reinstalling when...

    P67A-UD3-B3 (Rev 1.1) Success

Since I am still in the testing phase I decided to overclock my CPU. I took it up to 4.2GHZ and it seems to be very stable. I did rerun multibeast to make sure I had the right profile to support the overclock. I encoded a bunch of movies using Handbrake and had all cores pegged for several...

    P67A-UD3-B3 (Rev 1.1) Success

Yes I am using the F9 bios. I'll put together a detailed post listing everything I did from start to finish. So far sleep is working just fine and the OS is stable. USB 3.0 is the only thing I can't seem to figure out. --Paul

    P67A-UD3-B3 (Rev 1.1) Success

I have successfully completed a fresh install of Mountain Lion using Unibeast 1.5.3 and I think I got everything working with the exception of USB 3.0. Does anybody know if USB 3.0 support will be added for Mountain Lion for the P67A-UD3-B3 board? If not, is there an add on card I can purchase...

    Guide: GA-P67A-UD3-B3 with ATI 5870 – 10.6.8 and Lion

I followed the Guide at the beginning of this thread and everything seems to be working ok with the exception of one weird issue. I notice when the screen saver is running or if I am watching a video, I see what appears to be a stutter. About every two seconds I see a quick glitch where the...

    P55A-UD4P 5.1 Surround Possible?

Does anybody know of an off the shelf sound card that I could pick up that will do 5.1 without jumping through too many hoops to make it work or is there a different model motherboard I should look at going with? Thanks

    P55A-UD4P 5.1 Surround Possible?

Yes, that is when it grayed out on me. I even went back and renamed it to 889 like the example just to see if that flipped a bit somewhere, but no luck.

    P55A-UD4P 5.1 Surround Possible?

Yes I have. Although I can complete the procedure, the end result is that my volume control is grayed out on the menu bar. I have tried this a couple of different times along the away.
