OMFG I OPENED YOUTUBE AND I GET AUDIO. God damn you Apple.
It turns out they removed the system notifier for audio and I spent all ****ing night and all god damn morning trying to fix something that wasn't broken. Holy **** i'm shaking right now, I was actually considering reinstalling...
Verifying by changing the volume slider. I don't get the "BLAP" sound at all. Audio works fine on Windows 8.1 and OS X 10.9.5 though.
I'm doing another final reinstall now.
OS X perfectly detects sound/hardware, I just hear nothing, even on USB headsets.
I installed with the latest version of unibeast.
INSTALLATION 01
- Installed Yosemite, everything worked except audio.
Multibeast - User DSDT, ALC 889, Internet -> DONE
No Audio
INNSTALL 2 WITH REFORMATTED ATTEMPT
I learned that I should try using the mavericks MB as the driver was better...
No Audio OS X10.10 ALC889 Gigabyte Z68P DS3 or from sound card (TRAKTOR Audio 2) either :banghead:
I can see outputs, I just get no sound.
Worked flawlessly in Mavericks.

Hi.
OS x 10.8.5 runs great on my machine. Everything works 99% and I don't need any 'hacking' really. Everything runs natively with little hacks etc.
If anyone is on a GTX 680 (OR 600 series gpu), i7 2600k or on a gigabyte z68p ds3 mobo can you tell me if mavericks runs fine.
ML ran like it...
Nah but I do a lot of Final Cut X work and video rendering. Most work like a charm. Only thing bottlenecking is the hard drive. After I get my SSD I'll install the whole adobe suite.
The build:
-i7 2600k (I'll overclock it when it becomes "slow". It's still so speedy as if I bought it...
Installed it but I can;t choose nvidia web driver and it says my gtx 680 is unsupported.
Everytime I choose the nvidia driver and reboot it defaults to the OS X standard one.
Interesting!
I'm currently FORCING myself on OS X 10.8.3 for this week.
I played around with final cut pro x. I hated it.
Now I LOVE it. I make 20 minute World Of Warcraft private server review videos so i'll be doing this one in FCPX. It's radically different from Camtasia on windows but...
Not sure if this is the right section but here goes.
OK. I have a Hackintosh running 100% (Works out of the box too!)
When I built it in April last year it was for windows gaming. I never knew about Hackintoshing.
My Secs are: GTX 680, 3 Hard Drives including one ssd (this is the mental...
