Verifying by changing the volume slider. I don't get the "BLAP" sound at all. Audio works fine on Windows 8.1 and OS X 10.9.5 though. I'm doing another final reinstall now. OS X perfectly detects sound/hardware, I just hear nothing, even on USB headsets.

Installed it but I can;t choose nvidia web driver and it says my gtx 680 is unsupported. Everytime I choose the nvidia driver and reboot it defaults to the OS X standard one.

Your preformance will drasticly increase in Mac Pro 3,1 sysdef ;) Not sure if HD4000 works in good 'ol Mac Pro but if it doesn't the HD4000 is bottlenecking your parts ;) I may be wrong..

If they discontinue Mac Pro's then i'm leaving the OS X world. Honestly ever since 2011-2013 Apple are focusing on "Mobility" aka laptops and ios integration. I fear this is turning into windows 8 (However I still love windows 8).

That's what Hackintoshes are for. Cheaper yet faster. On topic I hope the "skus" have something like the GTX670+ and for another Model the 7xxx series. Reason being? Hackintosh hardware support to the max.
