All atheros kexts are ****ed, I've had the same thing and tried countless of things and nothing works. If you can get your hands on a nice NIC that works OOB you'll save yourself a lot of trouble. I've been waiting for someone to fix the atheros kext but no one really gives a damn anymore.

Are you sure you're installing the right kexts for your mobo though? PS. check your multibeast version too

I actually solved it. I replaced nvram 1.1.3 with 1.1.2 and changed UseKernelCache to No in my plist. Rebooted and the next time I tried to log in I got the error with the customer code (previously it was giving me activation error). Then I just went on apple support and they resolved the issue...
