Awesome, I will look to install the new FakeSMC when I update to 10.8.4. Yes,
HD 3000 can go up to 1600px through DP, so that is pretty sweet.
I will be gaming on my windows 7 partition, so the GTX 680 is a nice compromise
to run ML natively and to get good gaming performance for the monitor...
Thanks for the update Stork! I have been using hd 3000
for a while and recently added a gtx 680 to my build using the same
motherboard as yours. Prepping up for my WQHD dell 2713hm that
will be arriving this week. :)
I had to delete the FakeSMC to get 10.8.2 to work, now I can't see my...
True true. I love my Logitech k750 keyboard made for mac. I use the latest apple keyboard at work and
prefer the Logitech k750 in every way, no wires, no batteries that I have to change, almost had it a year now and so far performs as advertised. My Logitech mouse works well too, had for a...
Stork's Sandy Bridge Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000 - Lion
Yeah, I hear you, I am using the hd 3000 right now, since I sold off my 6870, I game
every so often so the 670 will mainly be for that really. I read that article too, intel
has come a long way regarding integrated graphics. It's...
Stork's Sandy Bridge Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000 - Lion
Thanks Stork! That makes sense to me. You are right, it is really quiet with only
the i5-2500k/hd 3000 with the Z68X-UD3-B3 board. Running it in a CM 690II,
hopefully the gtx 670 will be a bit more quiet than the 6870.

Great, I will try that out when I get the card and let you know how it goes. That is a great deal for the 480 gb! I noticed the price fluctuating as well, I got my 240gb for $150. The Sandforce SSDs have garbage collection built into...
Stork's Sandy Bridge Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000 - Lion
Hey Stork, I took your advice and updated bios to f12, things are running smooth. While I was at it I upgraded my SSD to the new SanDisk Extreme, 240 gb (went from sata II to sata III). It is an awesome SSD. I also made the move to ML...
Re: Stork's Sandy Bridge Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000 - Lion
Awesome, makes sense. Sorry, just another question, would I be able to update the bios then add the new dsdt without any issues? Do I just copy the new f12 dsdt and overwrite the old one or apply it though multibeast? Thanks again...
Re: Stork's Sandy Bridge Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000 - Lion
Thanks Stork! I will refer to that post. I am at F9, any good reason to update it to F12?
Re: Stork's Sandy Bridge Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000 - Lion
Hi Stork, I have the same mobo as you. Thanks for all of your posts, it really helped with my initial install a while back. Just wondering when going to 10.7.4 did you have to make any changes in bios or just used the multi beast...
that sounds good for partitioning the data drive to each os's preference. Fat32 can be formatted to share data between the os since each can use that format. But I believe with
that format you can only move up to 4gb I am pretty sure.
