Interesting, when I switch to 4k at 60hz it is able to switch over but I get this screen "tearing" as shown below. When I take a screen shot and take a look at it, it looks fine. Has anyone seen this before? (I opened up a few windows to help show where the lines occur. One about a third from...
This thread was for el capitan. At this point I would say it's not worth installing el cap but to instead install sierra, or even try high sierra. Rehab will most certainly point to you this so ill save him some time. If you follow this exactly you should be able to get the os installed at...
Interesting. Now is that only for sierra? Im still on 10.11.6
Just tested deleting the FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext, the card is still recognized but now system animations are slowed.
As for boot times, deleting didn't make any difference. Its takes 1:20 which I find to be a bit slow even...
Hey so question, how are you able to delete FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext and keeping acceleration? I thought that was how we were using the 530..
Im having slow boot times as well. I have imei in my dsdt and is showing in ioreg. No backlight kexts either as I have dsdt patch for that too...
I wasn't able to get it working in the past but I'm sure you've seen on the other thread that at least one person claims they have. I haven't tried in sierra with newer wed drivers. Last I tried was nearly a year ago on El Capitan. I'd rather be using the nvidia (we paid for it) thought I'm sure...
Have you been able to getting the m2000m fully working? @zlei
I think it was from a program called HDAmaker. Something along those lines. And interesting you're still having problems. Maybe your system is having trouble sleeping. Could be the different wifi? Not sure. @trussell3417
Yea that sounds great ill look into it! But just to be clear. With your flashed card, windows was then unable to recognize it and you were missing wifi for windows then? @mgilge
Yea it'd be nice to get a native wifi working at some point.
I haven't started with the HDMI yet. I'm pretty swamped throughout the week and usually try to find time on the week to fool around with this. I have tried to boot with it plugged in and the system restarts. I've read people that do...
Sure here you go. It might be that alc.kext your using as I'm using an applehda for audio.
Also, what are you using for wifi? Im using an edimax usb and can't connect to 802.1x EAP (username and password) which pretty important as I use it nearly everyday. I dont think we can swap out the wifi...
Hmm nope, I just tested it and it seems to be fine.. I had two youtube videos going, one in safari the other in firefox. Woke up the wifi reconnected and the videos resumed playing fine.
I feel like I've read that thing so many times now ha. I'm still having trouble. Did you mean \_SB.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP._OFF ?
And no i havent messed with the hdmi port yet, didn't seem important enough for me. Once i get this disabled ill start looking into that.
Edit: Well apparently the dropoem...
Great thank you! Yea that's what Ive had in there all along but it wasn't working. Maybe Ive missed something else somewhere... I'll keep looking into it. At least I know now someone else has got it disabled. Thanks again!
Unfortunately the ssdt-alc298 doesnt solve it for me completely though I think it's a bit better.
I've been having problems trying to disable the gpu for months. I took a look at yours and I think my problem when I disassemble the .aml's they get very messy. Your ssdt-14 and ssdt-2 looks like...
