Hi Guys,

I'm trying to make a Hackingtosh using the UniBeast with no luck.

I'm using a Windows 8.1 and would like to dual boot to test and then use the full HD if everything works.

I tried to use the boot flags, patching the kernel and removing the NVDA kexts as RehabMan propose with no luck.

To install you'll need to remove the nvidia kexts (NVDA*, Geforce*) from the USB after creating it with Unibeast. They are hidden (/System/Library/Extensions) so use ShowAllFiles to see them.

You will also need to patch the kernel: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-locked-msrs-hp-envy-15-j063cl-i7-4700mq.html

Then install Chameleon to the USB: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/231075-chameleon-22svn-official-pkg-installer-binaries/

Then boot with flags:
IntelAzulFB=12 GraphicsEnabler=Y dart=0 -v -f

For power management and initial setup after a fresh install, see: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...nagement-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-laptops.html

Haswell is similar to Ivy, except you should use a Haswell-appropriate smbios and there is no need to patch AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext. You will want to install Chameleon instead of Chimera.

You can add the IntelAzulFB/GraphicsEnabler/dart using Chameleon Wizard.

The only thing that let me enter the Install Screen is removing the dart=0 and boot in -x mode.

The problem is: IS TOO SLOW!

When I move the mouse the screen freezes for some seconds and return.
When I finally get the Disk Utility to open It start "preparing the disk to partition" it doesn't change. I waited for an hour until I shut it down.

My system configs are on my profile, if there is anything more I could add just let me know.

Thanks.

Ok, I was able to boot by deleting the NVIDIA files, using this flags:

IntelAzulFB=12 GraphicsEnabler=Y -v -f

(without the -x)

And by changing the HD.
I was using another HD that uses 1.6A (an SSD), while the HD that came on the machine uses only 0.55A.
I also started fresh with this HD. Removed everything and partitioned on another MAC.

Now it installed!

Unfortunately I coudn`t boot. I selected the USB drive and choosed the Mavericks install with the used flags but didnt worked.

I recorded the boot process and it stop and reboot without errors.
The last thing it says is:

Starting Darwing x86_64
Boot Arg boot-uuid= (a lot of text) rd-=uuid IntelAzulFB=12 GraphicsEnabler=Y -v -f

Already tried without the boot args, with -x, without and nothing.

Anyone know what can I do?

You need to place patched mach_kernel on your HDD after the OS X installer runs.

Disassemble all at once with: "iasl -da DSDT.aml SSDT*.aml"

Then work with the resulting *.dsl.

Get iasl from here and copy to /usr/bin: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/acpica/downloads

Then you're down to two errors, one which is fixed with: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch, "Fix ADBG Error"

The second needs a custom patch:
Code:
into method label HRPR remove_entry;

Which reveals two more errors, but they can be fixed just by removing the External declarations causing them.

thanks for helping me.
i fixed 2 errors, and i stuck at "name already exists in scope (_SB_.PCI0.PEG0)" and "name already exists in scope (_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP)". how can i fix it?

Quoting my previous post:
