Hello all,
I've been working on getting Mavericks on an Asus X200CA netbook using Clover. This computer has the UEFI Aptio BIOS. It's going pretty well; audio, battery level indicator, wireless are all up and running. The trackpad's a bit jumpy and odd times, but liveable for now. I haven't tried the HDMI. Overall, it's solid and stable. Only real problem is; there's no QE/CI. I'm pretty sure the config.plist file is not loading. I'm thinking this because, when the boot menu comes up, there's no message saying the system will boot in 10 seconds, like the install stick has. I have to manually press the "Enter" key on the highlighted OS X drive in order to get it going. Also, the EFI partition never mounts. I get it mounted by re-running the Clover install .pkg after Mavericks has booted up. But running that several times has not helped. I've created a DSDT, but it doesn't make any difference whether it's installed or not (in /Volumes/EFI/EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched).
I wouldn't really care about this if the graphics was working like it should, but I've been editing the config file for QE/CI, and again, nothing I do makes any difference. I even tried re-installing the config file from the install stick just to see if I get the automatic boot after 10-seconds: it made no difference.
Specs for this computer is:
1.8g i5 Ivy Bridge
4g memory
HD4000 graphics
Intel 7-series chipset
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
