I'm having a very frustrating problem with my 4530s hackintosh. First specs and process:
HP Probook 4530s - model A7K05UT
Intel® Core™ i3-2350M
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM
Intel® HD Graphics 3000
Replacement WiFi Card: HP Atheros AR5B195 Probook 4530s Wireless Wifi N BT bluetooth Card 592775-001
Did clean install of Mountain Lion using UniBeast 1.5.3 and Probook Installer 5 with options appropriate for the system.
Ethernet did not work out of the box but got that working using fix from these forums.
WiFi didn't work either since I didn't know about the Atheros card issue. Replaced the card with one that was linked to from these forums. The computer recognizes that it's there but will not connect to any network it sees (Connection time-out warning) and sometimes has difficulty even finding the networks. I've searched these forums for possible answers but so far nothing has worked. I have reset the bios. I have deleted all the networks in the System Preferences Network pane and then re-added them. I tried a few other things that I can't remember off hand since I tried them a few weeks ago and haven't been able to get back to dealing with this until now.
Thoughts? Suggestions? This laptop is for my daughter and I'd like to give her a relatively painless Mac experience...
Thanks in advance.
