Do you have acceleration, and what does it read as R9 xxx? Both my cards work oob but there is no acceleration. Did you run any benchmarks?

With my settings for IGFX in auto Sierra recognizes both graphics setups but running uniengine benchmark the Intel 530 puts out 11-14 fps on medium settings, but then I connect to the Rx480 it's black screen. The system is recognizing both cards which is good and it seems to be getting a little better, Siri stopped stuttering using the RX480, as long as I have the internal graphics in auto settings.

Too bad, so the "Tonga" bug also affects Polaris 11...

@Gigamaxx: The "R9 xxx" string is purely cosmetic, that's what Apples drivers call every AMD card based on Tonga / Fiji / Polaris. Can be overridden with Inject / Ati (as long as there's a suitable framebuffer).

I haven't seen any benchmarks that show non XFX cards Polaris doing any better. I followed the video above and rebranded the EO to DF and saw no change as well. When I check the info.list it lists the 67DF1002 but it had no effect. If I don't have my HDMI connected to the IGFX then the kext doesn't load for it, Sierra is struggling to get both going up to potential but at least they're both being recognized in the system.

Does it also need iGPU = Primary to give output?

My Gigabyte board Z170 bios offers IGFX (auto, enabled, disabled.). When I chose enabled it didn't pick up the rx during boot up, auto picks up both graphics cards/chips. If I run pcie only the RX gets picked up and no IGFX, there is no acceleration and Siri stutters.

the test board for this is a ga z97m-ds3h/4790 bios options for this is igfx or pcie0

I went out and picked up an Asus RX 460 and did a comparison in Beta 6 and Windows 10. Very interesting finding here.
