So I just finished my third hackintosh, first 2 were netbooks.
I built a workstation for me, specs:
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 5
i5 4690K
8GB RAM
GTX 9600
3 drives - 2 128GB SSDs and a 1TB WD
CD/DVD slim drive
Quicksilver G4 case (still not finished with that, tight fit for an ATX)
I installed each OS completely separately OS X 10.2.2 on one SSD and Win 8.1 Pro in the other and the big drive I partitioned in half NTFS/HFS.
I started out with just the onboard intel HD4000 and then loaded the Nvidia web drivers for the 9600.
Now I need to resolve my boot problems.
The OSX wouldn't boot with any other drive connected, but I rebuilt the EFI partition with Chameleon (thanks forum), set that drive first in BIOS boot sequence and now it's happy.
However it will only boot into Windows if I change the boot sequence in the BIOS.
Chameleon doesn't see the windows drive out there.
Startup disk says that the windows drive hasn't been blessed and it can't be selected as a boot disk.
None of the posts I've seen on multi boot ever seem to have a problem with Chameleon, but ofter they are on the same drive.
I'd like to be able to switch back and forth with just a boot manager, how can I let Chameleon know about Windows?
Should I use a different boot loader, like rEFIt (used to have a triple boot on my MBP)?
Thanks, Jeff
