Perhaps a siilly question, but you're booting from the unibeast USB and choosing the hd partition, right?
no, I can't even get to the USB installer.

I may and try to pull the GTX570 this weekend and see if that's it.

Has anyone else had any luck with the front USB 3 controller? I only have the intel chip and the USB 2.0 working. Currently testing the network, then I will hopefully solve the app store, then it is on to USB. Almost considering going back to 10.8.4 at this point but I will persevere!

My rear two USB3 ports work. The front ones do not. I am using the generic usb3 drivers in multibeast 6. Previously with 10.8.x these ports did not work -- although I don't believe I ever did anything to try and get them to work like installing a driver.

I had the same issue with my 7950 once I removed it and used the integrated GPU 10.9 installed without any problems besides networking

Up and running in Mavericks. Much easier with the great tools from Tonymac!

That said, I did still have a few issues to overcome:

    a. GTX 570 - USB installer would not boot (made it through kext loading, via -v, but then stuck at white screen). Had to remove all of the S/L/E/NVD* (nvidia). I created a folder on the root of the USB drive and moved them there. I also did this with the AMD/ATI files, but probably didn't need to. After installing, I noticed that the boot drive S/L/E had all the Nvidia kexts so I figured I was fine.. turned out the versions in there (which I assume were unpacked from other archives on the USB installer) were all missing the Info.plist files. I simply had to copy the backup copies I made on the USB installer to the boot drive (overwriting the versions that were there). Running beautifully now with both GTX 570 and HD4000. Simply used the chameleon boot file produced by Multibeast. Noticed that is now includes the IGPEnabler flag.. so that let me get rid of my EFI string from ML. Yay.

    b. Ethernet - It was weird, but I was having the same symptoms as a previous user using the modified Mavericks BCM5701 kext.. I could manually enable the kext (via kextload) but when I rebooted it was gone.. like it didn't auto load. Not wanting to screw around with it, I grabbed the IONetworkingFamily.kext that HighAltitude posted and now it works perfectly.. not sure.. apparently I messed something up when I copied over the BCM5701 kext.. Anyways, if you have issues, use the complete package High altitude posted.

    DSDT
I've included the "complete" MacIASL patch file for DSDT editing, thanks to PJALM, et al. To apply:

    1. Download MacIASL
    2. Make sure you booth with DSDT=Null if you're already running a DSDT
    3. Open MacIASL, you should see a virgin DSDT
    4. Make sure under Preferences you set ACPI 5.0
    5. Select Patch
    6. Select Open
    7. Select the attached patch file
    8. Select Apply
    9. Select Close
    10. Save the "DSDT.aml" to your /Extra directory. Make sure you save it is a compiled binary.

This patch does NOT include HDMI. You can easily add it by following Toleda's guide, or loading the PJALM Graphics repository to MacIASL and selecting the appropriate patch (discrete, HD4000, both).

The patch file has been updated from its native form (via PJALM ASROCK repo) to correct a sleep issue with the HDEF DSDT edits.

    Current Issues:

    Annoyances

    - Only thing that is annoying me is that on system boot, it takes 5-10 seconds and some mouse jiggling to get the mouse to work.
    - On wake from sleep, the screen comes back immediately, but I can't do anything for about 30 seconds.

This was definitely not the case in ML.

    Still to do:

    - Edit the OP to include a Mavericks guide. On my to-do list!

    More on the sleep issue...

It seems that the DSDT patch to HDEF to enable the ALC898 audio is what's causing the inability to sleep. Backed that out of the DSDT (that was originally generated using PJALM's Z77E-ITX patch) and everything works like a champ.

Very odd. Now try and figure out whats wrong.. but I guess on the interim I can use the non-DSDT version of the 898 Multibeast sound kexts.

    Thanks

Compiled DSDT attached. It contains all of the Z77E-ITX fixes, courtesy of PJAM, et al. It does NOT have HDMI in it. I needed EFI injection to use both the HD4000 and GTX.. let me know if you still have issues, what they are, and I'll attach my ML chameleon boot plist.

Had the same problem with GenericUSBXHCI from Multibeast 6. I installed version 1.2.7 an now my front USB-Ports are working again (http://sourceforge.net/projects/genericusbxhci/).

When you install it you must change the the AppleKextExcludeList.kext in "Systems/Library/Extensions". You have to open the info.plist and change the verison value of of GenericUSBXHCI to 1.2.7. Don't forget to do this otherwise it probably will not work.
