Hi, I have read lots of threads on here about this very subject and I have tried most of the suggestions, but I am still stuck with a turbo limit of 4.2 Ghz. I am using HWMonitor and Geekbench to check my cpu speeds. Here is my system:

Asus P8Z77-V LX (latest patched bios)
i7 2600k (sandy bridge)
8GB DDR3 Ram
AMD Radeon 6870 1GB

With my 2600k Sandy Bridge processor I am currently using an iMac 13,2 system definition, I know thats not quite right, CPU ratio set to 45 in the BIOS, upped the cpu voltage, etc, should give me a turbo of 4.5 Ghz?
I have tried the
Sandy Bridge Core i5 / i7 Overclock in Multibeast SSDT, also tried a few different overclocked SSDT's from this site, same result, can't get above 4.2 Ghz, would be nice to get to 4.5 Ghz.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Anyone please?

If I change my system profile to Macpro 3,1, iMac 12,1 or iMac 12,2 then I can only achieve a 1.6 Ghz maximum, so is this something to do with system profiles?
Or is it something else?
All the time I have CPU ratio set to 45, BIOS says turbo is 4500, so should be seing 4.5 Ghz.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Kind regards.

Man Ive been reading and reading tweaking and tuning to no avail myself :( I have a maximus v extreme and 2700k cpu.. Im at a solid 3.4ghz no matter what i change.. In my bios its fine and I can boot windows at 5ghz on this chip but for whatever reason i only get 3.4ghz in windows.. running 3,1 tried 5,1 and 6,1 wouldn't boot.. I've got ssdt overclock added from multibeast.. just can't seem to win here.. I wouldn't be trying if my geek bench scores were so low 10-11k I've seen other macs hitting 20k range
Someone out there must have some idea ?? Common mac hackers how bout some suggestions theories anything

are you using NullCPUPowermanagement? or do you have a DSDT and a SSDT?

I have a DSST and selected ssdt for sandy bridge I7 in multicast.. and no nullCPUPowermngmt
UserDSDT pre-configured choices:

Drivers -> Disk -> 3rd Party SATA
Drivers -> Misc -> FakeSMC v6.0.1123
Drivers -> System -> AppleRTC Patch for CMOS Reset
Bootloaders -> Chimera v2.2.1
Customize -> Boot Options -> Basic Boot Options
Customize -> Boot Options -> Generate CPU States
Customize -> Boot Options -> Hibernate Mode - Desktop
Customize -> Boot Options -> Use KernelCache
Customize -> System Definition -> Mac Pro -> Mac Pro 3,1
Customize -> SSDT Options > Sandy bridge Core i5 / i7 Overclocked
Customize -> Themes -> tonymacx86 Black

Tried turning speedster off and on in bios, have it set to bulk 100 x 46.. but only getting 3.4ghz

when overclocking in OS X make sure to turn off EIST in the bios or OS X won't see the overclock also if your using Chameleon or Clover sometimes that messes up the overclock

try disabling EIST in the bios if you got a app called iStats look at your CPU Cores run a benchmarking tool on your CPU and look st CPU Cores if they're showing your overclock then the overclock is working

EIST is and was disabled? I am using Intels Power Gadget, I tried stats but it doesn't give an actual frequency only a graph and percentage
Also I am using cpu-x and it states its running at 3.4ghz as well ? Are you overclocked on your system ?
