The driver needs an update. Hang in there until it's updated or fall back to 10.8.4.

BTW, we didn't see this problem with the development builds.

Thanks, was just about to report this same issue with mine.

Yeah same issue here, my entire back panel of USB ports on my Z77X-UD3H isn't working.

After install 10.8.5, I had to boot in Safe Mode, and run Multibeast again to make it bootable, only thing that isn't working are ALL the USB ports situated at the back of the mother board.

Hope a new driver comes out soon for it or perhaps a solution to this. The Universal USB 3.0 drivers in Multibeast does not work on 10.8.5

On my GA-Z77-d3h rev 1.1

removing manually: GenericUSBXHCI or CalDigit kext (if you find any) from SLE. Then reinstalling ComboUpdate 10.8.5

USB3 works partially, but any more at 5Gb/seg transfer rate like on 10.8.4, only 480Mb/seg

Testing with External HDD WD My Passport USB3

Same here, I've got a USB 3 pci card in my rig based on the NEC chipset, never worked very well in Snow Leopard, but worked great, flawlessly in ML all the way through 10.8.4, but not working in 10.8.5 and a reinstallation of the driver did not make a difference. I'm on a motherboard with an X58 chipset.

This worked great for me and my USB 3.0 is now working and at full speed. Thank you
Just got mine working I used:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/genericusbxhci/files/Snapshots/

Downloaded: GenericUSBXHCI_1.2.6d1.tar.gz

And used this command:
tar xvf GenericUSBXHCI_1.2.6d1.tar.gz
sudo chown -R 0:0 GenericUSBXHCI.kext
SLE=/System/Library/Extensions
sudo /bin/rm -rf $SLE/GenericUSBXHCI.kext
sudo /bin/mv GenericUSBXHCI.kext $SLE
sudo kextcache -system-caches
sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel

See my post here for downloading the GenericUSBXHCI.kext and the Kext Utility (step #6). Using the Kext Utility, you just drag & drop the GenericUSBXHCI.kext onto the Kext Utility window. Simple.
