Hi All,

I am getting close to finalizing the checklist for my Hack mini-ITX gaming build (specs are here)

I noticed one thing with the two buyer's guide recommended mini-ITX boards - neither have eSATA connectors. I really need them for my 4-bay RAID array. With my build I won't have space for an expansion card. Are there any other mini-ITX boards that are OSX friendly and have eSATA on the board?

Getting closer...

Can anyone on tell me if the chipsets on this motherboard are going to work with OSX?

ASRock Z87E-ITX

Everything on this board (with the possible exception of sleep) works perfectly, according to this helpful guide post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-h...-motherboard-spec-sheet-hot-2.html#post686296. That can probably be fixed with a correct DSDT and/or BIOS patch.

Here are some other links to forum threads with useful information about this motherboard:

Yup, Z87E-ITX works very well overall. There are a couple of slight niggles but they are not show-stoppers anymore.

I should be doing a full write-up and build guide, hopefully in the next week or so.

I will be waiting for your write-up. PM me or post here please when you get the chance so I know where to look!
