Gigabyte Z77N-WiFi 10.10.1 Update Broken Boot

My Customac Mini has developed a problem after update 10.10.1 - It will only boot to the Apple screen with the progress bar beneath but then just freezes there.

-v stops at:-
'Sound assertion in AppleHDACodecGeneric at line 1097'

If I boot with -v -x I get to a point and then it reboots.

If I boot with -x the video over HDMI will stop working, then after a while it will go to sleep. If I wake it using the keyboard it will boot to a blank black screen with the cursor.

Basically I can't get it to boot. What can I try/do?

Anyone?

I had a similar issue (Z77n-WiFi system would freeze when HDMI is connected) and I realized I hadn't update Realtek 892 in MultiBeast. That fixed the issue for me... Good luck!

Did that hat fix your problem? Similar issue with same hardware.
