Hi

I can't get chimera to load properly without booting from the USB HDD. I have tried redoing my BIOS settings and using various install from Easy install to DSDT free when installing yosemite. So if I just boot like I used to with snow leopard I get the error I attached a screenshot of. I can only boot to the OS if I use the USB HDD loader to get me to the chimera screen where I can choose my OS. I've been trying to fix this for days, I could really do with some help here.

Have you tried this?

Yes, I just tried it and it worked. Now I just have to resolve my nagging lack of sound. Thanks a lot though, that boot issue was driving me nuts.

motherboard gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R rev 1.0 bios 1.0
graphics card Sapphire Toxic 270X

I use the onboard motherboard sound, so I used to be able to use the ALC 889 chipset with no issues but that doesn't seem to be the case with this install.

So I've tried the correct audio driver that everyone else who has my board has used with no luck. In addition, I also tried the power management drivers and had no luck with those. Any suggestions? :banghead:
