This is my first attempt at building a custom Mac, and I have a question about some hardware. This is my list thus far:

[*]GIGABYTE GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

[*]G.SKILL Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory

[*]Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz

[*]Segate 3TB internal HDD

[*]LG SATA internal Blu-ray drive

[*]CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 V2 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

[*]EVGA 01G-P3-1302-LR GeForce 8400 GS 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card

__________________________________________________________________________

1) From looking at the DSDT guide, I see my motherboard, but more sub categories than I know the info for (It goes into F8, F4, F3. I have no clue which mine is.)

2) Is this video card compatible? I did a Google search and found no results pertaining to custom Mac builds.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Confirmed Blu-ray DVD drive since you did not link the specific model

F4, F8, ETC are supposed to match up with your BIOS firmware.

Check under M.I.T. section BIOS to determine your BIOS firmware.

How to tell firmware BIOS

I am not so sure on that card maybe someone else on here can chime in on that.

I believe this works.

Other selections a 9400gt, 9500gt, 9600gt, gt 210, gt430, HD 6450.

If you want Blu-ray drive, only LG.

I knew that but I thought OP would not bother with sleep since most still struggle with getting their hack to sleep properly. Even mine does not want to go bed, so I do the lazy way and shut him down.

Thanks Mate94 for the link I will now offer this option for would be buyers. :D
