Dell xps L501x resolution problems

My resolution is stuck at 1024x768 and i have no other options. I have search google for at least a day now for a fix and tried several non have worked. I'm running SL 10.6.8 and my screen is 720p if that makes a difference.

Try downloading and installing the official Nvidia drivers for Mac from here: viewforum.php?f=125 If that doesn't work, try the tonymacx86 Nvidia Update. If that doesn't work, download Multibeast 3.7.2 and install NVEnabler (located in Multibeast under Drivers & Bootloaders -> Kexts & Enablers -> Graphics -> Enablers).

If none of that works, open Finder on your Hackintosh, go to the "Extra" folder in the main hard drive, and open the file com.apple.Boot.plist with TextEdit. Edit the line "GraphicsEnabler" so it looks like this.

I tried Every step and i am still stuck and my com.apple.boot.plist was already set to that.

Help i don't want everything looking fat forever and thanks for taking the time to try and help me anyway TheSmartGuy.


I'll try even a super scary dangerous way to i already cloned my hardrive.

I did some more research and my video card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 420M
