NewbieHelp:How much trouble can i expect hackintoshing this?

Hey folks, first time poster here,

Just a simple question:
How much trouble can i expect hackintoshing this build:

i7 920
MSI x58 PRO-E
12 gigs g-skill ram
CF 5870's (One Sapphire, one Powercolor)


I'm sure that this build should work, i'm just wondering how many hoops I will have to jump through to make sure things are all enabled (sound, etc). Also, is Xfiring possible in OSX? I'd be looking to install the latest build of OSX (10.7?)

This machine is running windows 7 for me atm on an SSD. I'd probably just throw another SSD to dual boot from, i don't feel like sharing one SSD for 2 OS's. I hope that is possible

Crossfire doesn't work on OS X. Sorry.

I have no idea whether the motherboard will work. There's a DSDT in the DSDT section of this site for the MSI X58, but I'm not sure whether it'll work on all MSI X58 motherboards. Try Googling "MSI X58 PRO-E hackintosh" and look for a guide by someone who got the motherboard to work.

One last question though. even though crossfire doesn't work, is it possible for me to leave the 2nd 5870 sitting in its slot for PC usage? Or do I have to take it out in order to boot up OSX?
