Need Some help

I've installed Snow Leopard 10.6.3 from retail DVD and then updated to 10.6.7 (tried with 10.6.8 combo but system goes into a kernel panic). All works with 10.6.7 except my boot so i've to start snow leopard with my Iboot legacy CD cause with chimaera or chamaleon system won't start giving me the message to restart the pc every time. I've an HP pavilion dv6 2131el can some1 help me please. :banghead:


P.S. I haven't switched from SATA to AHCI cause my bios doesn't have this option.

very few systems work with sata configured as ide..
have you set bios to boot your install drive first.???
