Looking to convert to Hackintosh

Hi I have a pc I'm looking to convert to a hackintosh. The specs are; MSI P55 CD53 (I think, it's the one in my profile), 4GB DDR3, Western Digital Blue drive, Intel i5 750 processor and a Asus Radeon 5770 graphics card.

I am aware of the issues with the 5770 but want to know if the rest of the machine is suitable for a hackintosh? I was looking to replace the 5770 with a Geforce 8400GS and hope in the future the 5770 will be supported. With the 8400GS would I be able to get my hackintosh up and running?

Or any other cheap sub £40/$60 graphics cards you can recommend?
 
It seems that the Radeon 5000 series is supported in the version of OS X that comes with the new Mac Mini, so maybe 10.6.5 will support your 5770.
 
I see there has been success with the 5870 as well.

Yes the Mac Mini does have the NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor, but the version of OS X shipped with it with may support other hardware (who knows :mrgreen: ).
 
Well I went out and bought a Nvidia 8400 GS but that won't even work lol. Wish Id never got rid of my iMac :(
