Working 100% in 32/64 bit mode.

About This Build
My personal desktop pc, used mainly for content creation and gaming.

For all intents and purposes I was able to get this build supported 100%, except for the primary video card's HDMI audio controller. VoodooHDA won't load the primary card for some reason but it does with the secondary. All attempts at creating a working ALC 898 + GFX HDMI Audio w/th only AppleHDA failed so I went with an older VoodooHDA kext and edited it accordingly. (0.2.61, works in x64 just fine, no tearing/popping @ 24bit either)

Geekbench 2.3.1 x64 score of 20510
iMac12,2 - Geekbench Browser

Cinebench 11.5 CPU score of 12.16 pts
Cinebench 11.5 OpenGL score of 44.51 fps
OceanWave OpenCL score of 456.77 fps

The following post-installation solutions are necessary for full functionality:
-NullCPUPowerManagement.kext is required for now.
-BridgeHelper 3.0 required for working HT (on my mobo at least)
viewforum.php?f=125
-VoodooTSCSync.kext required to load all 6 cores, IOCPUNumber "11" .
-Modified DSDT for graphics, onboard audio, and various additional fixes (no KP etc, added "Dark wake=0" as kernel flag, not required, just my personal preference)
-Interim ALC898 edited Lion AppleHDA.kext
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=57808&start=0
-Modified VoodooHDA for HDMI audio.
-Chimera 1.9.1
viewforum.php?f=125
-Broadcom BCM57781 (working 100% no KP, no issues whatsoever with kext linked below)
http://www.osx86.net/view/1883-broadcom ... _lion.html
-Cpu Overclocked to 4.2 GHz @ stock 1.2V (can easily go much higher but I stuck with 4.2 due to heat/fan noise ratio), SMBIOS.plist modifed to show correct speed (4.2). iMac12,2.
-Modified AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext for graphics power management support, done for iMac12,2: bench-marked best for me overall under said model id.

Great build!

hi,

My PC spec is i7 3820 + X79 extreme4 + Ati 5850 + 16GB ram
I have made an unibeast USB boot key and successfuly boot it
But My problem is like this viewtopic.php?f=169&t=52447

Someone have the same problem like this?

I want to build something similar to this. When the new macs come out, will powermanagment, sleep and usb3 on boards like this and ASUS be supported?

Awesome build! You must be loving this level of performance.

How has the stability been now that you've been running over 1 month?

What, if anything, would you have done differently if starting over now?

Do you recall what your stock 3.2 GHz Geekbench score was?

Can't recall, I'll post it when I get a chance ... stability is perfect so far, only issue is USB 3.0 causes KPs sometimes so I have it perm disabled via BIOS, and the method for getting working ethernet is rendered obsolete by 10.7.4, only workaround is loading pre 10.7.4 kexts, I've yet to figure out why, haven't had the time lately tbh... but yeah those are the only two issues I've noticed, other than that haven't crashed once, perf. is great too :)

EDIT: I've ended up going with Clear usb for the internet. Messing with kexts for Broadcom in 10.7.4 is just not worth all the headache, I'll post if I figure out a fix that doesn't involve reverting

Hard to say, USB 3.0 likely will, as for vanilla sleep and pwrmngment, kinda depends if Apple ships LGA2011 machines, I suppose it could happen but atm 2011's more niche than anywhere mainstream. Who knows, maybe someone will/has created a hack for full sleep/pwrmgnmnt.. I haven't been checking lately..
