Hi all,

I have a Mac Pro 5,1 running OpenCore patched Monterey. My machine is detecting my RX580 as having 7MB of vRAM and no kexts. Any ideas?

I've tried:
- Swapping slots
- Rebuilding OC
- Making sure it works in a PC
- Tried in High Sierra, detects 8GB no issue and works smoothly
- Reinstalling Monterey
- Different display cables

I've been researching for ~2 hours and I can't seem to see where the shortfall is.. :(

Specs:
Mid 2012 Server, 2x 3.46GHz, 64GB RAM, AMD Radeon Sapphire RX580 Pulse, 500GB SATA SSD

Attached is a screenshot from System Information

You are using a real MacPro 5,1? In that case I assume you are using OCLP (OpenCore Legacy Patcher) to run Monterey?

I’m having a similar problem (but with 5 MB vram) I bought a 2012 Mac 5.1 w/ Monterey (via open core)
and installed the rx580. All a bit over my head but digging to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.

Same issue here. I have tried to add AMD9500controller to both EFI partition and System partition.
