I'm wondering if anyone can give me a recommendation as to how much RAM would be useful for me?I'm using my hackintosh mostly for photo editing and some video work. I put my hackintosh together in late 2011 to the following specs:
Processor - i5 2500K Sandy Bridge
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3
RAM - 8GB (2X4GB) Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz DDR3
Case - Antec Three Hundred
Power Supply - Antec EarthWatts 650 Watt
Optical Drive - Sony Optiarc
System Drive - OCZ 120 GB Agility 3 SATA 6.0 GB/s SSD
Media/Storage Drive - 1 TB HDD
On a recommendation from someone else on the board, I'm planning to pick up a Geforce GT630 video card, but I'm also thinking it would be useful to add some more RAM. Anybody have any thoughts on whether I'd see a dramatic improvement improving to 24GB instead of 16GB? If anyone has any better ideas on how to speed up my machine I'd take them too.
Thanks!
