Hi,
I'm new to all this so please go easy on me
I've burned iBoot to a CD and I've set SATA Emulation to "AHCI" (it was on that by default) and my boot order priority is correct as well. I can't find HPET options in my bios anywhere.
I get to the boot screen and insert the Mac install DVD in and hit F5, hit enter and let it do its thing. As soon as it begins to load the installation DVD I get an error saying
On that screen it also says "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button until it turns off, then press the Power button again." I've tried a few times but I've gotten the same issue. I did see an ACPI thing in Bios that mentioned enable wake up on mouse was enabled. I disabled that but still no luck. Nothing else to do with ACPI is enabled.
Any ideas? It's an HP 8100 Elite desktop. i7 2.80 Ghz and it has 4 GB Ram (so that shouldn't be a problem).
Help will be truly appreciated. I'm retiring my Mac Mini and I badly need a stronger CPU to run Mac on.
Thanks,
