Hi,

I'm running my first Hackintosh with the following spec :

MB: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 Bios Version FD
RAM: G.Skill RIPJAWS DDR3 2133 2x4Go
CPU: Intel I7 2600K
HDD: Crucial M4 SSD 128 Go
No Graphic Card and HDMI connect

Everything was ok untill i use the DSDT provide by tonymacx86 for my motherboard.
So i configure Multibeast with the DSDT file, then restart and i get the Apple logo and then a grey screen...
I can boot on the desktop with PCIRootUID=0 but not in -x mode...

Should i just configure Multibeast with unibeast and check option manually ?

Thanks for your help :)

Most common problem is to have a wrong DSDTversion (not intended for the Bios Version installed).
In this case the sytem is generally not booting

hum... :problem:

So i'd rather configure Multibeast by checking manually the option ?

Is there any other source for DSDT than tonymacx86 ?

What version of Snow Leopard are you running? 10.6.8? because if its a earlier version the onboard graphics will not be supported.

You have an issue and it will be a problem - but some users have reported success - that problem is the onboard GFX in the CPU - the video will not be anyting larger that 1024x768x32 resolution.

Apple supported this function in the MacBook Pro 10.6.7 release as they included kext drivers in this specia build of the software for only MBP.

So if you can survive on this video and want to get to 10.8 then press on - Suggest you read this link in the old site

there are 54 post - read them all -

ALso you aware of the iBoot & MultiBeast install webpage by Tony - well as you have a Sandy Bridge CPU you will need to modify that install process
Follow this from Jester969...

How to do a sandybridge cpu w compatable hardware OSX hack 10.6.8 build. jester969
Typical installation steps are:
1) iBoot + Disk Utility + install Snow Leopard DVD (perform install via DVD) reboot
2) iBoot + Installed OSX HDD (boot with iBoot and loading OS via newly installed HDD) - get welcome screen
3) Run Update Helper and Reboot?
4) iBoot + Installed OSX HDD, run combo update 10.6.8 , DO NOT reboot
5) Run Multibeast and select option which are required to your board. (run system utilities all options)
6) Reboot w/out iBoot (use -v -f switchs)
Audio/Ethernet/DSDT
DSDT and BIOS firmware must match to the corresponding number.

During the inital install you may want to use some some command line switchs
to assist you w the install - Best Startup Switch for inital install from iBoot w Apple DVD!

-x -v -f acpi=off PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No
or
-x -v -f apci=off cpus=1 PCIRootUID=1 busratio=20 GraphicsEnabler=No

If you have an older Video card or can get one cheap -or ask you friends if they have a spare GFC card - I suggest you use that to help w the install.

You may want to seach the forum for cards that work that are not listed if you have trouble finding them -

ok so post a picture when you have to and smile!!!

Hope it works for you to and its very frustrating to go through the process - its even worse when it fails afterwards.

One can learn a lot by googling and following links regarding problems or searching w hardware numbers ( + ) the term hackintosh

Some video links: please look at some YOUtube vids under the name deanwrayUK
Here are the shortcuts.

Also please add your hardware config to your signature block so it will post you hardware you are using to build the hack.

Ok i'm back :)
So i've done this

Then i need to restart with this line

-x -v -f acpi=off PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No

And it's work!

but i don't really know what does it means... because it's seems a lot of my drivers are not working at all...

and btw i really need a real graphic card 1024x768 is not going to be possible :D

Thanks a lot.

-x -v -f acpi=off PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No And it's work!

that is a command line that you can use at the install screen - here is the breakdown
-x = safe mode - loads less kexts link windowz does
-v = logger screen - lifts the curtain of Apple and displays what really loading - kp will show up for a picture.
-f = instructs the OS to load all kexts fresh - do not use any cached kext blob file ( large group of kexts in a single file)
acpi=off - this turn off the acpi power managment of the cpu and not have issues w kexts during install
PCIRootUID=1 - this is required for a sandy or Ivy bridge cpu inorder to install.
GraphicsEnabler=No - turns off the special functions of GFX cards (certain models) so we don't KP

The correct swithes to use after step six of jester969 is to use the -v -f

if you want to know more about the kests read these links.- Something usefull about command line switchs one needs to know !
