[SOLVED] Ventura/Sonoma - Random (Scheduled PM) Wake from Sleep

Thank you for this; I've implemented the fix. I'm a bit surprised there aren't more reports of unexpected wake-from-sleep following a Ventura install.

    macOS 11.1 Update

I was able to update on an internal drive but not the USB external SSD I would prefer to test things on first. UPDATE: Made a USB installer and updated successfully off that.

Assuming you're booting off the correct EFI partition, creating the EFI folder should be as simple as: install Clover copy kexts copy config.plist and SSDT-UIAC.aml (if you're using one) Work out where on those steps you're making a mistake.

ASUS ROG Strix H370-I install hangs

I'm on the previous one (1404) at the moment so not much help to you. If you'd said "2012 is great, try it!" I might be more tempted... have you exhausted all the bios settings e.g. Launch CSM and Secure boot?

XHCI-unsupported.kext has replaced XHCI-300-series-injector.kext... Google it and you'll find RehabMan's GitHub repository. The UEFI drivers are part of Clover so run the Clover installer package for them. If you don't need FileVault the minimum required are ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi...

Here's a Mojave EFI folder for Asus ROG Strix H370-I GAMING (note an EFI folder, not the one I'm using, as I have tried to make it generic and barebones). Ultimately, learning to create and edit your own config.plist, install Clover, select and install kexts etc is preferable to copying another...

This is probably when the installer is attempting to reboot but crashing instead... seems to me you haven't followed the recommendation to install EmuVariableUefi-64.efi.

ASUS ROG Strix H370-I install hangs

It might be a USB issue if you haven't implemented either a short-term, or long-term fix for the 15 port limit (unless Unibeast/Multibeast does this). See https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-creating-a-custom-ssdt-for-usbinjectall-kext.211311/. You might even find a diagram of the USB...

ASUS ROG Strix H370-I install hangs

I've been using the Dids build of Clover but the one on Sourceforge also has the RC scripts option (it has VBoxHfs-64 instead of HFSPlus). The important bit is EmuVariableUefi-64.efi; RC scripts just allows some stuff to persist through reboot and shutdown.

There's nothing particularly mystical about installing Clover.

ASUS ROG Strix H370-I install hangs

When installing Clover for H370, add EmuVariableUefi-64.efi from UEFI Drivers to get working restart, sleep and shutdown. "Install RC scripts on target volume" goes along with that.

Yes its shows 1536 MB; that's on Mojave where I'm using the Whatevergreen framebuffer patching method. I'm still experimenting with that as I haven't been able to get the onboard HDMI port to work for a 2nd monitor, only the DisplayPort.

ASUS ROG Strix H370-I Gaming build

The short answer is that you have (almost certainly) missed one of the steps needed to get USB functioning (the same applies when creating the USB installer as when completing the installation). Reiterating, you need: 1. Devices->USB->Inject and FixOwnership (easiest to do this in Clover...
