I see.
So it seems I can either go Mojave with 64gb of memory on Z390 and i9 9th gen, or Catalina/Big Sur with 128gb on Z490 and i9 10th gen (and a massive possibly catastrophic three-week pain in the neck to update over 700 plugins and Digital Performer that is still not updated either)...
True. The Sonnet card is definitely an option for libraries.
Actually I think I'm goin to give that a try.
But to my experience unfortunately, even keeping the preload buffer size to minimum in NI Kontakt, once the large template starts playing back the voices those samples will be...
Thanks guys for the feedback.
Really appreciate it.
I'm wondering if it's possible to install 128 gb of RAM on that mob.
I've read that the Asus Prime Z390 A can handle that much RAM with a firmware update that is available on their website and a thunderbolt pci card can be installed as well...
Hi Stork
I'm considering building a similar hackintosh myself, based on the same motherboard and an i9 10th gen 10 core CPU with 128GB of RAM, plus a SSD 8TB raid 0 internal storage for libraries.
The only purpose of that machine would be to run my studio as a digital audio workstation.
I've...
So P1LGRIM
I was able to do a bunch of things on this machine.
I was able to reach 4.5/4.7 dynamic overclock, managed to overclock the Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600 C10 VENGEANCE ram to 1.866.
Also switched to SMBION MacPro 5,1 with no issues.
Four monitors connected, no glitches, machine is rock...
I've put FakeSMC Kexts back with multibeast.
All good.
By removing that SSDT and using arguments dart=0 npci=0x2000 I can reach out the login screen, no glitches at all and I have four monitors working!
None of the USB ports are working.
Now, if I put that SSDT back to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched...
Ok
I've dragged the FakeSMC Kexts back to /library/Extensions
No arguments.
Removed both SSDT files
Reboot
Black screen.
Connecting monitor to HDMI DP or DVI doesn't make any difference.
Currently I'm connected via DP.
I also tried to put back dart=0 and npci=0x2000.
USB2 not working (due...
As we speak I only have one monitor hooked up to the DVI port and it's working.
Now removing both SSDT files from EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched
Also put FakeSMC back manually to Library/Extensions.
So I've followed your advice and put FakeSMC in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other
Also remove the FakeSMC from /Library/Extensions as adviced here:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/big-list-of-solutions-for-el-capitan-install-problems.173991/
With no arguments, system won't boot.
Main monitor is on the top DVI port.
Other monitors are on bottom DVI and side DP and HDMI ports.
So I've followed your advice and proceeded step by step.
I've set Inject kexts to Detect.
But as soon as I remove nv_disable=1 and npci=0x2000 the system ends up in a black screen and stops...
Hi P1lgrim
I've spent more than half an hour to create my last post with a bunch of informations and now that post is removed.
I do not understand why, it was a precise guide to how I managed to make my hack to work and was explainatory of the process that I had to create from scratch to make it...
Because I thought that was ok for the hack to recognize overclocked cpu?
However, it was glitching before and after that specific overclock multibeast injection, so that must not be the reason.
Done. Removed everything. No luck.
Let me add some context.
When I attempted the clean install of Sierra I followed the Unibeast guide on Tonymac.
Kernel panics all the way, not even possible to reach the installer.
Then I fould this thread regarding an installation tip for El Capitan on the...
Hi there.
I've just installed via unibeast a clean OSX Sierra on my GAX79s Up5 with i7 3930k and EVGA GTX760.
Everything seems to be working fine after a bunch of adjustments in the config.plist and EFI kext folders.
I managed to update to 10.12.6 with no issue, injected USB3 GenericUSBXHCI...
Hi there.
I've just installed a clean OSX Sierra on my GAX79s Up5 with i7 3930k and EVGA GTX760.
Everything seems to be working fine after a bunch of adjustments in the config and EFI kext folders.
Unfortunately the GPU is extremely glitching and that's the only thing is missing to be perfectly...
Hi NDG
I know this is an old post but I'm trying to install Soerra on my Hackintosh that is pretty much identical to your specs.
Any success with your build?
Thank you in advance.
H100i totally fits inside my 600t.
Not sure about Noctua.
It should btw.
The point is: if you can not fit the Noctua inside a 600T you can't fit it anywhereelse since the 600T is very fat.
Maybe is the widest case in the corsair tower family.
