Updated my BIOS to F20 and receive a kernel panic on every boot that nothing seems to fix, think it has to do with the HD 530 patches. Can't go back to earlier version of BIOS either with this one. Gigabyte H170n-Wifi Intel i7-6700 HD 530 Samsung 850 Evo

    Default .aml application

The other day I accidentally changed the default program to open .aml files to textedit (for ALL aml files) and now my ssdt and dsdt can't be read on boot...I have the white icons instead of the black exe ones. Any idea how to change the default back to 'none' as it should be?

SSDT generation creates 5 SSDT's, which one to use?

I followed TonyMac's guide on how to generate an SSDT but no matter what I do, even deleting all the SSDT's from the folder prior to running the script, I get 5 SSDT's written to '~/Library/ssdtPRGen/'...named SSDT.aml, SSDT-1.aml etc. Some of them are 23kb in size, others 2kb and no idea which...

Shopping for a mobo for my new build and I'm seeing a lot around the net that the Asus boards this generation are just as compatible as the Gigabyte's, is this true? I'm looking into getting the Asus Z97m-Plus but I'm concerned about encountering the many headaches I have in the past with Asus...

    Asus Z97m-Plus or GA-Z97MX

Planning to build my second custom mac and while I know Gigabyte boards are generally easier to work with, I'm wondering if anything has changed with the 9 series boards/Yosemite? Would the Z97m-Plus would be a good option? (it's listed in the mobo support list but I don't want to have to edit...

Can only boot in Verbose Mode

I have 10.9.4 up and running on ga-z87-ud3h with 4770k and gtx 760, but it will only boot with the flag -v (takes forever cause it goes through a million 'read HFS+ files', but still loads. If I don't do -v it just gets stuck at the Apple logo, any suggestions?

    Mavericks: -f GraphicsEnabler=No

Got Mavericks up and running on GA-Z87X-UD3H, 4770k, GTX 660. Runs flawlessly but have to boot with -f GraphicsEnabler=No. I've never edited kexts before so I'm wondering how I could set it up to not have to type in these boot flags every time.
