Well, once I plug in the hdmi, screen stays black. Close the lid and reopen and nothing. Even tried to turn on laptop while hdmi already connected and no dice. I haven't tried again since I mentioned it to you. Trying to get the DW1820 to work. Is it compatible?

I'm running catalina now, i'll try and replace that kext to bluetoothinjector and try again. If I want to install Big Sur, will i have to change it back?

Ahhhh right, okay then. I also went ahead and did a test with hdmi out to my monitor and it doesn't seem to work.. Maybe it's due to the settings. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. Is there a fix to the bluetooth being always turned on?

Alright, i managed to fix the audio while still maintaining the gui as you had intended. My only issue now is having the right cpu class to show. It shows i7 but my cpu is an i5 and also the graphics mb shows 3XXXmb instead of 2xxxxmb. Here's my config..

So I have a dilemma, I'm trying to figure out how come I don't get the pretty gui anymore after i changed the layout-id fro 4D to 1C. That's the layout id that works for my codec. Also, how come bluetooth on/off under system preference stays on and i can't tick turn it off. I'm not sure what's...

So with this EFI, i'm able to boot the Catalina version I had installed earlier but couldn't boot after post installation from the USB. My sound isn't work at the moment, it's got alc225 codec.

This is my own OC I've prepared but can't seem to get pass this screen.. Always stuck there for some odd reason. OC 0.7.0 is the version I used to try and install Big Sur.

I'm still using the stock wifi card which is a broadcom 1820 and i'm using a 2.5'' SSD. I'm still messing around with it and see what happens.

I've got this generation of X1 Carbon as and I've managed to get to the installer but after initial setup, I can't seem to get to the desktop. Seems to hang on a black screen. I'll give your EFI a try later.

Did you make sure to patch your DSDT with IRQ fix patch? Just a thought.

So far no luck, tried Mojave and high Sierra can’t even get to installer. Keep getting kp and reboots.

Is ELAN1301 supported guys? Been having a hard time getting my trackpad working.. I've used from old to latest voodooi2c kexts. My laptop is almost perfect, just need key functions for screen brightness to work and may trackpad/touchscreen.

Im making another attempt at my Asus vivobook, just like yours. Have you managed to get trackpad and touchscreen to work? If so, which kexts are you using?
