This is an interesting and very useful app. And I know it's in beta and all but I've got some suggestions you may like (or not):
- Group the "Repair Permissions", "Rebuild Cache" and "Install Kext" functions into another tab, just like "Status", "PCI List" and "Misc".
- The 2 "Update" and...
Hi SJ_UnderWater, first of all thank you so much for this native IDE. Second, I've tried generating the SSDT with it and I've noticed a couple of differences with the one I created using RevoGirl's script.
In the first step (16 for my 2600k) there's a difference in the power values...
Try adding the partition to the /etc/fstab file. Type this in a terminal:
sudo nano /etc/fstab
add this line and change "Seven" with your partition's name:
LABEL=Seven none ntfs rw,noauto
Once you're done press "ctrl+x" to save, then "y" to confirm.
From now on your NTFS partition...
Thank Kozlek too, as he's the developer of these HM drivers and also the creator of the monitoring app.
Also any problem with the drivers should be reported to his thread @insanelymac.com or https://github.com/kozlek/HWSensors
The first version did that (not so sure though) but the latest one just patches the binary and even make a backup so you can revert whenever you desire.
Toleda, couldn't those messages be related to energy management because he's using a macmini plist? I also use one and get almost identical errors on Mountain Lion with the patched kext + DSDT edit.
Are these messages showing when using a MacPro3,1 smbios? I believe it may have something to do with the energy management system. In my hack it even "pops" when the audio is turned on/off, which I solved by using the antipop daemon (the sound assertions are still there though).
Hey Rodrigo, if you don't need the speed (450mbps) you may find the TL-WN881ND (300mbps) for half that price. I bought mine in Cordoba for around U$S 40 a week ago and I'm sure it's even cheaper in BsAs. The only thing you need to do is add the Device ID to a kext and it will work as this one.
It's even easier in Mountain Lion as there's only 1 kext (AirPortAtheros40) to edit. Working perfectly so far, will test further and report in case of any problem.

In the DSDT database you'll see both revisions with several bios versions, so my guess is that it doesn't really matter.
For what I can tell Rev2 changed the PCIEx version to 3 (only works with the 22nm CPUs), 1 less SATA port (due to the mSATA) and the Gigabyte website does not say which audio...
I solved it by using the MacPro3,1 smbios instead of iMac or MacMini. But your case may not be the same, for me it was definitely the power management that made the white noise and also produced a pop sound every time the sound chip was turned on/off.
Anyway you may as well try this, and if it...
ACPI CPUs not found: C-States not generated !!!
ACPI CPUs not found: P-States not generated !!!
There's definitely something wrong with the C&P states generation but I don't really know the cause. Would you mind uploading your DSDT and org.chameleon.boot.plist? Also make sure all the cpu...
Is it a WD caviar green? It's quite a pain to boot from those but some people seemed to have solved the issue. That's not my case. Check this thread for more info: Boot0 error
And you won't be able to set the partition active cause it's not MBR, and that's all fdisk can see. Try and print the...
