My 4430s shipped with a camera. The 4430s that I got for the i5 did not come with one. My camera seems to be the same one that's in the 4530s, but I have not checked the hardware manuals for part numbers.

This is because you have a stuck key. Mine was the B key. It's just an anomaly from waking from sleep. A good fix for this is to turn off key-stroke repeat in the System Preferences -> Keyboard -> "Key Repeat"
Whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute. So the whole thing about the graphics being muxed in the OS is just the way they implemented the BIOS? Or is this an actual hardware design?
If this BS about the discrete graphics (like how they work on the Dell Vostros) is just because the company is freaking...
All of the 4530s that we've seen on the board can run the upgraded screens. All you need is the HD+ cable. As long as you put the cable in with the screen, you should be just fine.
Telling you not to upgrade the resolution is just a CYA statement so that when people like me get upgraded...
Yeah running a resolution on an LCD other than the native LCD resolution is just terrible.
If you want 1600x900 you gotta just buy the 1600x900 screen. IMO.
For the record: The 4430s and 4330s will NOT accept a 1600x900 or 1920x1080 screen. I haven't tested the USB3.0 motherboard, but the USB2.0 motherboard does not have the proper pin-out to provide the B-Channel of the LVDS interface.
