For some reason my system kept the old kexts (the edited ones) and didn't work well. But I copied the updated ones from my macbook pro, and I edited them again (same procedure...
Thanks for the warning. I will not attempt to update the system until we know exactly what does it change.
Maybe it's just an update to graphics drivers, and we just have to modify the kext file again. Whenever I know something about it, I'll let you know.
Hi! I've installed Mavericks successfully on my hackintosh using unibeast.
But I also have a macbook 13 mid 2010 that have mavericks over mountain lion over snow leopard, and I really like to do a fresh installation of Mavericks on it (Its a little laggy right now).

I didn't put the 7950's ID on my kexts. But the method is the one above. If you can't locate the info.plist inside the kexts, you can use Invisiblix.

PD: setting the 7950 as primary is the correct way. At least, in my case (with the 7850) is.

You can try. But I strongly recommend you to do a backup of your actual kext files first. In case of fail, you can boot on safe mode and restore them.
crain83, can you post a step by step on what you did for patching the kext? I'm kindda newbie and have the exactly same videocard.
