The Quick answer: Yes it is possible to run 2 Graphic Cards with OSX.
Right now I'm running Lion on a GTX 560 Ti and a 8800 GTX for the third Screen.
But honestly I have no Idea if the Geforce 210 ist supported by Lion.
So you might try to get it to work with the single card first.
Here is a...
I have a little request,
can anyone with working OpenGL test if the WebGL Demos on the three.js site work?
https://github.com/mrdoob/three.js/
Especially the Featured projects
The demos worked with my old 8800GTX but with my 560 TI most of them dont run anymore. Neither with Chrome nor with Safari.
Well, i have the exact same Graphic card and i can only tell you what i needed to do to get it fully working. Maybe this will help ;)
1. added id 1200 in kext
2. installed ATY_init.kext in /s/l/e (without only white screen/KP)
3. Created a EFI String for Boot.plist (not 100% sure if needed...
Update:
I tried it with a GTX 560 Ti and the strange behavior is gone. Safari still don't render WebGL content but a least it says that its not supported and it doesn't crash.
Thanks, but I know that. Also I m not the only one reporting bad performance compared to other 6 Gbit/s Controllers. Yes its faster than SATA 2, but still...
I recently noticed that a view things dont work any more since i upgraded to Lion.
1: i can't open a Site in Safari with WebGL content - Safari crashes
2: MplayerX from the App Store crashes at Start
In the crash reports are always things like the com.apple.GeForceGLDriver...
I want to buy a 120GB SSD but after a lot of reading I'm still not sure which SSD is the best for my System.
I was able to narrow it down to one of these two:
Crucial m4 SSD 128GB
OCZ Vertex 3 120GB
Many people say that the Crucial is better because of the good performance/reliability and the...
Can anyone tell me if i can boot a LION installation from the 6 Gbit/s Onboard Controller.
Since the recent price drop i really want to use a SATA 2 SSD.
I tried to install the Multibeast Nvidia Driver without success (boots into black screen). And now i want to revert the installation. The installer made a backup from the old Nvidia files to the Desktop, so i copied them back to /s/l/e. I also repaired permissions but what else do i need to do...
Lets hope so :)
I'm constantly refreshing the ATI Section from the InsanelyMac Forum to get new Infos.
I already read something about an ATI6000Controller.kext in the Lion dev. build.
So lets hope...
If this is true, would that mean we also get support for the Desktop Cards?
I need a better Graphic Card and would really love to see the new Readeons being supported by OSX.
I just want to inform everyone that even with a recent build i'm not able to boot from an 2TB Partition.
Well, there's still the option to make a, lets say 100 MB HFS+ Partition at the beginning. install chameleon on it and copy the /extra Folder to it.
Well to be honest, i have no idea about DSDT editing.
But i also noticed the (in my case) 5-8°C temperature Difference in Idle mode compared to Windows/Bios.
So I tried the mentioned DSDT out of curiosity and the Idle Temp. really dropped down to my Windows/Bios values.
I haven't noticed any...
@tonymacx86 and boomzilla
ah, but he was so cute ^^
well, i just bought a new HD, made one 2TB gpt partition, cloned the old drive to the new one and tried an unofficial RC5 installer packages from insanelymac, but i'm getting this boot0 error.
I can still boot Chameleon from the old...
Sorry to ask here a Chameleon related question but does anybody know if the latest pre RC5 Version can cope with a Partition size > 1 TB?
I searched in the change logs but couldn't find anything related to that bug.
Next week I'm going to buy a new Hard drive and if possible, make just one...
