Hey @viorel78 I tried your kext with my Deskmini H470 where I have the rear out installed. Didn't work, but also the front audio out don't work, so this may have to do with the different chipset on the H470. I too have a Deskmini 310 but no rear out installed there. Couldn't try audio-in.
Being lazy, so I simply put @viorel78 s EFI and started a new Deskmini H470 (i5-10500, 6core 3,1GHz, 64GB RAM) with a USB-Installstick, installed BigSur, copied the EFI from the Stick to the EFI-Partition of the 1TB-nVmE of the H470 Deskmini, and voila, the small beast started without any...
Looks like you haven't used the EFI from @viorel78 which is customised to Mac mini(2018), should look more like this, also there are placeholder-values instead of a serial-number which you should insert in config.plist:
I cannot relate to this. But I recommend using the EFI from @viorel78 as recommended above. Just add your credentials and put it in your EFI-Partition of your Deskmini 310 Boot-Device. Works for me.
If you have the same problem then I had (reboot-loop before the end of Big Sur upgrade) then you must in your config.plist under Security set SecureBootModel to "Disabled", but I recommend to build upon the provided OpenCore 0.6.4 EFI from @viorel78
@viorel78 thanks for helping out again! :headbang:
@Css13 do yourself a favour and stay with OpenCore. I will definitely go out and learn more about it. I will make a new USB-Stick and install Big Sur on a second nVme Strip just to have some more practice with OC. I think dortanias guide is a...
What exactly is failing? I too upgraded to Big Sur yesterday with OC 0.6.1 but failed first because of Boot Security, so I disabled the Security setting in config.plist and Big Sure installed without problem. But now I have to look how I can upgrade my OC to the recent 0.6.3 because this is what...
maybe I was to fast: I updated catalina directly from a open core 0.6.1 install (deskmini 310 with 8core intel CPU and 64GB RAM). Installation seems to went fine, but booting into the finished (or nearly finished) installation didn't work, I get a stop sign and can move farther but the system...
Thanks a lot @viorel78 , I used your OC EFI and copied over my "generic" credentials as told. All looks very good so far, the machine seems a bit snappier, and my problem - 64GB (2 x 32) RAM is solved. Works great!
BTW: Can I update to BigSur Beta with OC?
I have trouble updating my deskmini 310 to 64GB (2x32GB) RAM. While the deskmini and clover works fine with 2 x 16GB 2666 Modules, my new 2 x 32GB Modules gets recognised in the deskmini BIOS, but starting clover it only gets to the Apple logo and stalls there...
Do i have to change something...
Thanks @maui87 I may try this in the next couple of days. I first had to fix my AppStore Problem.
This did solve the Problem for me, now I can login to the App Store and download my apps. So no need to add a WIFI-Card just for this.
Wow! Thanks for this thread. I got a deskmini 310 with 32GB RAM, i7-9700, 1TB nvme and 2 x 2TB FireCuda HDs. I have an intel AX200 WIFI card, but this didn' work, so I left it out and used a ASUS BT-400 BT-Dongle, which works fine for BT. WIFI might get added later.
My deskmini is on the latest...
Thanks for the Info, i also have a usb-c adapter on order from lunadisplay, will try it with my deskmini 110 which has a normal usb-c port. I plan to order a new macmini, so if it didn't work with my deskmini then it goes to the new mac mini where my new 12,9 iPad Pro will be the main display...
Boah! I'm back in Business! Looks like the Clover Stuck on scan entries was a problem with my BIOS-Settings. Finally updated to Clover 4709 too and now my Main Mojave Drive starts like normal and best of all, the @freesby provided Scripts did it's thing. No Stuttering Mouse-Cursor, no...
Thanks for the EFI freesby, my Unibeast generated Mojave USB-Stick brought me back in to my Mojave Disk, but after starting from these USB-Stick (with an older Clover-Version) my Main-Install with 4700-Clover gets Stuck at "Scaning for entries". Re-Installing Clover 4700 didn't help, so i can...
Tried this, but didn't work.
I am now started with another volume with a old Sierra Installation on the deskmini. I think it's best to make a new Mojave install on another ssd with UniBeast 9, then installing Xcode and command line tools there and rerun your scripts on this new install and...
Thanks a lot @freesby I removed all Hack-Extensions from /Library/Extensions and run make, downoald.sh and sudo ./install.sh -all, but after install.sh -all i inserted my password and get only the Word "Help" as a response in Terminal.
Whats missing?
TIA
My deskmini uses a i7-7700 and 32GB of 2400MHz Memory using the build-in HD Graphics 630 of kaby-lake (on a DELL U2515H in 2560x1440). It worked very well with @freesby s EFI-Folder and config files in High-Sierra. But since i updated this system via Apple's System update to mojave (After...
Hi, i just removed a i3-7100 and replaced it with a i7-7700 and the graphics-glitches are totally gone! Absolute stable graphics on my 4K DELL 2715Q now. So, maybe there is just another graphics-id needed to be injected in config.plist for the 7100 CPU, i don't know. But with the i7-7700 and...
